Fall 2011: Local History, Art & Culture Programs PDF Print

Registration for the following programs begins Sept. 13 exclusively through the MAC Exhibit Center, 175 W. Cedar St. in Sequim (phone: 360-683-8110). Program fees support continued MAC programming.

  • Please note that these are stand-alone programs, and each has a separate attendance fee. The two-part cemetery program has one fee.

Scheduled topics are as follows:

Thursday, Sept. 29: "Then & Now: 8x10 View Camera Photography" with Robert Schlechter, DJ Bassett and Ted Cordua (with special guest V. Keith Fleming Jr.)
Time: 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Fee: $10 MAC members / $15 non-members
Location: Meet at Dungeness Schoolhouse, 2781 Towne Rd., Sequim
Friday & Saturday, Oct. 21 & 22:
Day 1 - "Cemeteries & Gravestones: Research, Ethics & Photography" with DJ Bassett
Day 2 - Field Trip / Oral History Tour through Dungeness Pioneer Cemetery
Times: Friday: 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. (classroom) & 1 - 3 p.m. (field session); Saturday: 12 - 2 p.m.
Fee: $30 MAC members / $35 non-members (total for two days)
Location: Meet at Dungeness Schoolhouse, 2781 Towne Rd., Sequim
Note: Registration is encouraged, as space is limited for this two-day program.

Friday, Oct. 28: NO PROGRAM

Saturday, Nov. 5: Geocaching with Caroline Stuckey, as part of Team T.W.R.B.
Time: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Fee: $15 MAC members / $20 non-members
Location: Meet at Dungeness Schoolhouse, 2781 Towne Rd., Sequim

Saturday, Nov. 19: Interactive Art for All Ages with Frances Rice
Time: 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Fee: $10 adults / $5 children (age 17 or younger)
Location: Dungeness Schoolhouse, 2781 Towne Rd., Sequim
